What did Christ Mean When He Spoke of The Days of Noah?

Homosexuality Throughout the Ages

People will tell you that Christ never said anything against homosexual sin. This is quit simply false. Most people simply do not understand the New Testament because Christian scriptures lack some of the context that can be found in the Torah. In fact, Christ referred to the very first instance homosexual marriage was instituted on the earth.

Christ said, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark."

Marrying and given in marriage sounds pretty innocent, right? God ordained marriage between Adam and Eve, there is nothing wrong with a man and woman obeying the Law of Chastity. In fact, the Lord said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a help meet (or a companion equal to him, one able to help him complete the tasks I give him), for him." The Lord then commanded humankind to "multiply and replenish the earth," and to "leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and no other."

Obviously there must have been something sinister about these marriages for them to be mentioned specifically in reference to the flood.

We do know the conditions of the people in the time of Noah. We know that "every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" and that "the earth was filled with violence." Some will say those things are the only sins these people participated  in, but if that were so why didn't the Lord mention them?

There is another aspect that we often overlook because we do not have the right context: "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

Again, this seems innocent enough, however, Jewish Rabbis gives us the following insight:
  • Genesis Rabbah 26:5
    • “And the sons of God saw the daughters of man, that they were fair, and took for themselves wives, whomever they chose.” (Genesis 6:2)
      • “That they were fair”: Rabbi Yudan said, it is written “fair” (tovot), what it means or suggests is one who was being adorned (“made fair,” “metivim otah”) for her husband (-to-be; that is, for her wedding), the leader (literally, the great one) would enter and have sex with her first.
      • This is what is written: “fair” – these are the virgins; “and took for themselves wives” – these are the married women (i.e., they took other men’s wives for themselves); “whomever they chose” – this is a male or an animal.
(To summarize, in those days men would take other men's wives, other men, and animals, and marry them. Another practice they held was that their leaders got to sleep with their wives before the wedding.)
  • Rabbi Huna in the name of Rabbi Yosef (said): The generation of the Flood was not wiped out until they wrote gemumasi’ot for (the union of a man to) a male or to an animal.
  • The statement of Rabbi Huna in the name of Rabbi Yosef is also cited in Leviticus Rabbah connects a mention of (male) homosexual marriage to  Leviticus Rabbah 23:9 (comparable to Lev 18:3 in the KJV of the Bible)
    • “According to the doings of the Land of Egypt…and the doings of the Land of Canaan…you shall not do…I am the Lord, your God”
    • Rabbi Hiyyah taught: The passage reads- I am the One Who punished the generation of the Flood, and the people of Sodom and Gemorah, and Egypt; and in the future I will punish those who do as they did.

Some say the sons of God are angels, but the word "angel" was translated from a word meaning "messenger and servant of God," not the word meaning a heavenly being. The sons of God were more accurately men who held the priesthood of God. The daughters of man were women outside the Church, those outside the covenant. But there is more going on, and from the above commentary we can see that this wasn't simply marriage between man and woman, but all forms of sexual transgression was part of the institution of that society. For more info you can research here.

These wicked people were not just breaking the Law of Chastity in the shadows. The destruction of the family unit was not only accepted, but also legally enforced as an organized manner from all of society. God has warned His children what will happen if we follow the path of Sodom, Gomorrah, Egypt, and the people before the flood.

    A Bright and Hopeful Future

    Hello everyone!

I try to stay up to speed on current events and prophecy, and I've come across quite a few interesting things! I have had a few requests to compile my sources, so I thought I'd do that here and include my commentary.

These items are great topics of study, but I am going to summarize and share:

    1. Two solar eclipses
    2. The fulfillment of Rev 12:1-8
    3. A video of these events in greater detail
    4. Ezra's Eagle

Please note: I'm not making any predictions, I simply find these findings interesting, and I take comfort in knowing that God is there, that He is aware of us, and is sending signs of His coming as He said He would.

    August 21, 2017

The first event in Fall 2017 is a solar eclipse that passes over Adam-ondi-Ahman, one of the most sacred places on earth. This location is where Adam once met with all of his righteous decedents, and will one day meet with them again! It is also the site of many meetings between our Savior Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father, and various Church leaders from the past and present.

Here is a map of the path of the solar eclipse, which travels through Independence Missouri and then on to Adam-ondi-Ahman. For your convenience I marked it's location with a red star below:

Interestingly enough, the eclipse is occurring on the Hebrew holiday, Teshuvah. The word means "repentance," or literally, "to return."

Another interesting eclipse will occur 7 years from this one on April 8, 2024, which is the last day of the Hebrew ecclesiastical year. The last one was nearly 40 years ago, so it's surprising to have another so soon. This next one, as you can see below, passes directly over the the Kirtland Temple and the Hill Cumorah.

Watch this video to watch what a solar eclipse is like at its totality: https://youtu.be/BpH9Lv8QYjc

And here is why it's such a big dea to witness onel: https://youtu.be/oNH3akWXaV8

    Kirtland Ohio

    Palmyra N.Y.
These two solar eclipses intersect fairly close to Independence Missouri, but there is really no way to know what it means. We can speculate, based on what ancient Jewish traditions say about them, but to learn about that you will need to watch the video below.

    September 23, 2017

I want to sum up what is going on before you watch the video, and some of what I share is not covered in the video, but it is still interesting.

First you will need to understand that the Greek Zodiac is a corruption of the Israelite's Mazzaroth, which was likely revealed to Abraham and is referenced in the book of Job. Signs in the heaven are actually very common, which makes sense since God said He made them "for signs and for seasons."

To fill in a little of what is not explained in the above image, Jupiter (the King Planet), which represents Christ, enters the womb of the Virgin and remains there for 40 weeks (the period of gestation). This occurs by Jupiter going retrograde which allows this sign to appear in a way that has never happened in the last 6,000 years and it will not happen for at least another 1,000 years (that's as far as anyone has checked, I guess no one figured earth would be around longer than that).

What the image above and the video below do not cover are the rest of the relevant verses, and how they are fulfilled this year. Well, the video goes over most of it, but misses one important detail.

This is from the same chapter, it says a dragon, or serpent, waited for the virgin to deliver. The dragon wanted to devour the man-child, but the Lord took him "to his throne" while Michael fought the dragon.

And what do we see in the heavens?

We see a serpent fighting a man, and Libra, which represents "the law," but also "the throne of judgement," or in other words, the throne of God.

What is interesting is that Jupiter once again goes retrograde once reaching the bottom of Libra, and then ascends the throne of God. If you want to see this in action you can download Stellarium and try all of this out for yourself!

Now, I have to say that I don't know that I agree with him entirely. He believes the 6th Seal hasn't been opened yet, I believe the 7th Seal has been opened, and it may have been opened on April 6th, 2000, for various reasons that I won't get into now. I do not believe the seals overlap, as there is no scriptural or prophetic evidence to suggest that, I believe we are in the 7th Seal, somewhere before the cleansing of the world.

I am hopeful for the future. I know the Lord will bless and protect most of those that are faithful and follow the Lord's prophets.

How I Wish the Trump Presidency Was Going

Hold on Republicans, don't give me the "angry" reaction just because I am offering a light criticism of President Trump. I am not going to call him Hitler, or a racist Nazi, or anything like that (sorry Democrats).
I think my real criticism with Trump is *not* that he is always wrong. I don't think that's the case, I think he has done some good things.
My real concern is that he is the one doing them.
Let me back up, I don't have a personal grudge against Trump. I am concerned that the President, the leader of the Federal Government, is solving State level problems.
Why does that matter? As long as the problem gets solved, right?
Sure it's nice to have the problem solved, but if a single man in office can unilaterally make decisions about our every day lives, whether their name is Obama, Trump, Hillary (*shudders*), or whoever comes next, the next single person can easily undo everything good President Trump has done.
Unlike a monarchy, where all decisions change based on the will of whoever holds the reigns, a Republic is slow, clunky, and stable. It takes a lot of work to mess up a Republic, but those working behind the scenes have been at this a long time.
What I want in a President is one who will undo the power of the Federal Government to control our lives. I don't want to be afraid of what the next President, the one after Trump, may do. I don't want to be concerned that the LDS prophets are warning us of dangers to our religious freedom. Their growing concern, whatever is causing it, frightens me! What are they seeing in the future of this nation that I am not, and how can I prevent it from happening?
I want to solves the problems facing our nation. Problems of political corruption, poverty, debt, healthcare, safety, morality, immigration, tyranny, etc.
I want to solve those problems. Not me alone, I don't want to be the strong man in Washington. No, I mean me as a individual citizen joining with other individual citizens in my city and state to solve problems facing my neighbors.
Give that power back to the States, where individual citizens can elect local representatives, people we know and can monitor, to stand as vanguard of their rights and liberties. Take that power from the Feds, where power is hidden away in Washington, and let us solve problems on our terms, in our way. That's how the Founding Fathers meant for things to be done. That's why the Constitution originally set up our nation to do.
Join with me. Don't blindly oppose everything Trump is doing because you don't like him, that's foolishness. Be for something. Be for limited government. Be for personal responsibility, and States rights. We can get our nation back on track, but to do so we need to restore the Constitution and it's principles of small government liberties.

    Most People Misunderstand Agency

When I was a younger man, still in college and trying to understand the downward spiral of societal morality, I started to question laws regarding gay civil unions.

On the one hand I thought, "Well agency means everyone can do whatever they want, right? Do I have the 'right' to stop them from sinning?"

On the other hand I thought, "That doesn't seem right," and I read that unbiased psychologists noted many issues involving the children of gay parents, among many other practical reasons to oppose gay marriage, but I thought, "I'll wait to see what the Church says."

After some study I found that the prophets have spoken out against the evils of gay civil unions from, and many other forms of sexual sin, and encouraged Latter-day Saints to be active in opposing their legalization.

I decided that was good enough for me, the prophets commanded it, and I knew I would learn "why" as time went on, so that became my position. I continued to learn the societal damage sexual sin causes, and that society embracing sexual sin further erodes our nation, and removes protections from heaven.

But a question still remained in my mind concerning agency in general. The prophets strongly supported Prohibition as outlined by the 18th Amendment, to the point of speaking in favor of it in General Conference for decades, and condemned us when Utah was largely responsible in passing it's repeal. They even cited statistics showing how Prohibition was not a failure, as Hollywood blockbusters would have us believe, but it was a success. One that frustrated Satan and enemies of morality.

The prophets continue to instruct Latter-day Saints to oppose legal recreational marijuana today, so I have had to wonder, as do many others in and out of the LDS Church:

    "Doesn't God care about agency?"

I hear this question often. From non-Mormons I hear, "I have the right to do whatever I want as long as it doesn't infringe upon the rights of others." From some members I hear, "God given agency gives people the right to do whatever they want, even to sin."

They are partially correct, but at the same time totally misunderstanding agency and liberty.

Agency is the ability to choose right or wrong. It is something we fought for before we came to this earth. We did not fight for the right to sin without consequence, we fought for the right to choose to obey the commandments of our own free will. We understood that there would be consequences for our actions, and that justice required that good actions bring about good consequences, and evil actions bring about evil consequences.

To apply this principle to morality, we now have the right to obey the commandments without being punished by God or the government. The government cannot take away our right to obey the commandments without being immoral, for that would be good actions being rewarded with evil consequences, and those government officials and citizens that supported them will be held accountable before God.

The inverse is also true. If a moral people decide the government ought to reward evil actions with appropriate punishment, those performing immoral actions should not be surprised when justice is brought upon them.

On the contrary, this is the natural order of things, and for moral people to allow sinful behavior to go unpunished is not only unnatural, it is shirking our solemn responsibility to "warn our neighbor." Learning how to ensure a moral society is not only a duty for citizens of a free nation, and a moral obligation of those professing faith in Jesus Christ. It is also practice for children of God to fulfill our divine future role.

If you still have questions about this concept you will find a great article consisting primarily of the word of God and His prophets here.

Lehi vs Eli - Parenting Rebellious Children

Parenting is possibly the most rewarding challenges in existence. Not just as mortals, but our Heavenly Father has said:

"For this is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."

The Almighty's whole focus is in rearing His children to become just like Him.

There are a lot of plans and theories on how to best raise children, but the most reliable sources of truth are always found in the scriptures. We can learn good parenting practices by watching the Lord's example as He leads the children of Israel, the Nephites, and the early Saints.

Of course, the most accurate and updated source of God's word is from the living prophets, that cannot be discounted without putting our souls at great peril, but this particular lesson comes from the Old Testament and the Book of Mormon.

Eli was a High Priest in ancient Israel. Overall the scriptures describe him as a good man, but he has a fatal flaw. He has a blind spot for his rebellious, disobedient, and disrespectful sons.

One particular sin they were guilty of was sexual transgressions, a serious sin that makes mockery of our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, and yet Eli continued to rationalize his sons behavior.

The Lord even sent a prophet giving specific warnings against Eli's parenting style of rationalizing sin, but Eli didn't listen.

Finally the word of the Lord came to the prophet Samuel saying:

"For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not."

The sad thing is that I'm sure Eli meant well. He loved his sons, and didn't want to hurt them, or drive them away. However, he didn't love them enough to censor their sinful behavior.

Eli's responsibility wasn't to *ah hem* "love" his sons to the point of allowing them to commit all sorts of sins without rrstraint. That isn't love. Christ loves us, and so He calls us to repentance, and commands the prophets and parents to do the same because we love our children, and want what is best for them throughout eternity.

A parents real responsibility is the same as our Heavenly Parents focus: to prepare their children to become just like God. We cannot become like our Heavenly Parents if we are living in sin. That is the whole purpose of God's commandments, as revealed through the prophets He has chosen. To prepare us to become just like our Heavenly Father and Mother.

The consequence for Eli's sin (yes, he is guilty of disobedience to God's commandments as well), were fulfilled. He and his sons were cut off from the Lord's presence, and all three met tragic physical and spiritual deaths.

Now the question is this: What warnings are modern prophets giving us for when we rationalize rebelliousness and sin in our children's behavior? The consequences we face would not be so different from the fate Eli and his son's met, but searching modern revelations will give us a greater testimony of their truth than me sharing them in a brief paragraph.

In contrast, Lehi worked tirelessly to love all of his children, even when they were rebellious. He regularly praised their good behavior in public, and censored their wickedness as privately as he could. But if all he did was praise them, tell them they needed to be true to their "authentic self" (also called the natural man), and rationalizing their sinful behavior, Lehi may have faced the same end as Eli.

The takeaway from this is to love our children the way God commands us to, not the way the world pressures us to. We must love them enough to tell them, "No," when appropriate, and we can learn how do to so in a loving way by following the counsel of the living prophets.

There is no greater way to love our children than to teach them the true gospel, and therefore prepare them for eternal life.

Trump and Never Trump - Accountability and a Clean Slate

    Accountability and a Clean Slate

It finally happened!!! The election is over, Trump won and Clinton lost! You know what that means? We don't have to talk about her any more in comparison to Trump! It's over. The witch is dead! The threat of a Clinton presidency is gone, probably forever. Hopefully forever.
    I'm Melting!

Republicans, let's make peace. In an effort to do this, I present to you....

    The Clean Slate

We can all hold him accountable to his promises, and to our values as freedom loving, Constitutional Conservatives. He has a suspicious past, but if he holds to the Constitution now, I will support him every step of the way.
Remember, it is now okay for everyone to hold Trump totally accountable now, Clinton CANNOT take the Presidency.

This is how I propose we do that.

    • #NeverTrump voters: Give him a clean slate. If he does well, give him props. There is no going back, so we might as well treat this as a new birth. A new beginning. I won't hold any of his past deeds against him, only the violations to the principles of liberty and morality from this point on. But I will also not compromise my values, nor the principles and integrity of the Constitution.
    • Trump voters: Don't make the mistake Democrats make. They are loyal to a fault. We all see it, their candidates can do no wrong. It's how the Clintons and Obama get away with.... everything. No one holds them accountable. So if he does something to violate the Constitution, if he tries to further break the Constitution, if he pursues Big Government/strong-man powers, HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE. That kind of behavior is NOT okay. Trump will not, cannot protect us from Big Government. We are still suffering the effects of the Patriot Act. Only the Constitution can defend us, but only if we restore it. It is not sufficient in it's current form, we need to repeal some bad Amendments.
The absolute worst thing we could do is support his every decision. We have no obligation to support him if he isn't supporting Constitutional principles. That's the oath he will take, right? Let's hold him to it. We can say, "Hey, that law is not okay. I'm not going to support him in that particular action."
Again, this is a mistake we see Democrats make all the time. They are fiercely loyal to their party and politicians to a fault. In fact, it's how the Democrats get away with, well..... murder.

    Candidates vs the Constitution

This is a work in progress, specifically written for those who know Hillary Clinton is evil, corrupt, and a threat to the Constitution and our freedoms, but believe Donald Trump will protect and defend the Constitution better than she will.

We are going to do a little exercise to see which candidates are trying to violate the Constitution starting with the Bill of Rights. First we will list the Bill of Rights and underline each right. Notice: The Bill of Rights is not a comprehensive list of all the rights God has given us.
You can find the Bill of Rights here.
Now let’s go through and list which of these rights the candidates have attacked at least once, if not more. By the way, if you have sources you want to add, just let me know in the comments.

By the way, saying, “I love and will defend the Constitution” does not mean they actually love the Constitution, nor does it mean they will defend it. Both candidates say that because it is easy to say. However, it is harder to cover up a mindset of Big Government/anti-Constitution policies.

So you tell me. Are either of these candidates going to preserve a document they care nothing for? How is he going to know what a Constitutionalist looks like when he is getting ready to nominate someone for the Supreme Court if he doesn't know the Constitution himself?
