A Bright and Hopeful Future

Hello everyone!

I try to stay up to speed on current events and prophecy, and I've come across quite a few interesting things! I have had a few requests to compile my sources, so I thought I'd do that here and include my commentary.

These items are great topics of study, but I am going to summarize and share:

  1. Two solar eclipses
  2. The fulfillment of Rev 12:1-8
  3. A video of these events in greater detail
  4. Ezra's Eagle

Please note: I'm not making any predictions, I simply find these findings interesting, and I take comfort in knowing that God is there, that He is aware of us, and is sending signs of His coming as He said He would.

The first event in Fall 2017 is a solar eclipse that passes over Adam-ondi-Ahman, one of the most sacred places on earth. This location is where Adam once met with all of his righteous decedents, and will one day meet with them again! It is also the site of many meetings between our Savior Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father, and various Church leaders from the past and present.

Here is a map of the path of the solar eclipse, which travels through Independence Missouri and then on to Adam-ondi-Ahman. For your convenience I marked it's location with a red star below:

Interestingly enough, the eclipse is occurring on the Hebrew holiday, Teshuvah. The word means "repentance," or literally, "to return."

Another interesting eclipse will occur 7 years from this one on April 8, 2024, which is the last day of the Hebrew ecclesiastical year. The last one was nearly 40 years ago, so it's surprising to have another so soon. This next one, as you can see below, passes directly over the the Kirtland Temple and the Hill Cumorah.

Watch this video to watch what a solar eclipse is like at its totality: https://youtu.be/BpH9Lv8QYjc

And here is why it's such a big dea to witness onel: https://youtu.be/oNH3akWXaV8

Kirtland Ohio

Palmyra N.Y.
These two solar eclipses intersect fairly close to Independence Missouri, but there is really no way to know what it means. We can speculate, based on what ancient Jewish traditions say about them, but to learn about that you will need to watch the video below.

September 23, 2017

I want to sum up what is going on before you watch the video, and some of what I share is not covered in the video, but it is still interesting.

First you will need to understand that the Greek Zodiac is a corruption of the Israelite's Mazzaroth, which was likely revealed to Abraham and is referenced in the book of Job. Signs in the heaven are actually very common, which makes sense since God said He made them "for signs and for seasons."

To fill in a little of what is not explained in the above image, Jupiter (the King Planet), which represents Christ, enters the womb of the Virgin and remains there for 40 weeks (the period of gestation). This occurs by Jupiter going retrograde which allows this sign to appear in a way that has never happened in the last 6,000 years and it will not happen for at least another 1,000 years (that's as far as anyone has checked, I guess no one figured earth would be around longer than that).

What the image above and the video below do not cover are the rest of the relevant verses, and how they are fulfilled this year. Well, the video goes over most of it, but misses one important detail.

This is from the same chapter, it says a dragon, or serpent, waited for the virgin to deliver. The dragon wanted to devour the man-child, but the Lord took him "to his throne" while Michael fought the dragon.

And what do we see in the heavens?

We see a serpent fighting a man, and Libra, which represents "the law," but also "the throne of judgement," or in other words, the throne of God.

What is interesting is that Jupiter once again goes retrograde once reaching the bottom of Libra, and then ascends the throne of God. If you want to see this in action you can download Stellarium and try all of this out for yourself!

Now, I have to say that I don't know that I agree with him entirely. He believes the 6th Seal hasn't been opened yet, I believe the 7th Seal has been opened, and it may have been opened on April 6th, 2000, for various reasons that I won't get into now. I do not believe the seals overlap, as there is no scriptural or prophetic evidence to suggest that, I believe we are in the 7th Seal, somewhere before the cleansing of the world.

I am hopeful for the future. I know the Lord will bless and protect most of those that are faithful and follow the Lord's prophets.

How I Wish the Trump Presidency Was Going

Hold on Republicans, don't give me the "angry" reaction just because I am offering a light criticism of President Trump. I am not going to call him Hitler, or a racist Nazi, or anything like that (sorry Democrats).
I think my real criticism with Trump is *not* that he is always wrong. I don't think that's the case, I think he has done some good things.
My real concern is that he is the one doing them.
Let me back up, I don't have a personal grudge against Trump. I am concerned that the President, the leader of the Federal Government, is solving State level problems.
Why does that matter? As long as the problem gets solved, right?
Sure it's nice to have the problem solved, but if a single man in office can unilaterally make decisions about our every day lives, whether their name is Obama, Trump, Hillary (*shudders*), or whoever comes next, the next single person can easily undo everything good President Trump has done.
Unlike a monarchy, where all decisions change based on the will of whoever holds the reigns, a Republic is slow, clunky, and stable. It takes a lot of work to mess up a Republic, but those working behind the scenes have been at this a long time.
What I want in a President is one who will undo the power of the Federal Government to control our lives. I don't want to be afraid of what the next President, the one after Trump, may do. I don't want to be concerned that the LDS prophets are warning us of dangers to our religious freedom. Their growing concern, whatever is causing it, frightens me! What are they seeing in the future of this nation that I am not, and how can I prevent it from happening?
I want to solves the problems facing our nation. Problems of political corruption, poverty, debt, healthcare, safety, morality, immigration, tyranny, etc.
I want to solve those problems. Not me alone, I don't want to be the strong man in Washington. No, I mean me as a individual citizen joining with other individual citizens in my city and state to solve problems facing my neighbors.
Give that power back to the States, where individual citizens can elect local representatives, people we know and can monitor, to stand as vanguard of their rights and liberties. Take that power from the Feds, where power is hidden away in Washington, and let us solve problems on our terms, in our way. That's how the Founding Fathers meant for things to be done. That's why the Constitution originally set up our nation to do.
Join with me. Don't blindly oppose everything Trump is doing because you don't like him, that's foolishness. Be for something. Be for limited government. Be for personal responsibility, and States rights. We can get our nation back on track, but to do so we need to restore the Constitution and it's principles of small government liberties.

Most People Misunderstand Agency

When I was a younger man, still in college and trying to understand the downward spiral of societal morality, I started to question laws regarding gay civil unions.

On the one hand I thought, "Well agency means everyone can do whatever they want, right? Do I have the 'right' to stop them from sinning?"

On the other hand I thought, "That doesn't seem right," and I read that unbiased psychologists noted many issues involving the children of gay parents, among many other practical reasons to oppose gay marriage, but I thought, "I'll wait to see what the Church says."

After some study I found that the prophets have spoken out against the evils of gay civil unions from, and many other forms of sexual sin, and encouraged Latter-day Saints to be active in opposing their legalization.

I decided that was good enough for me, the prophets commanded it, and I knew I would learn "why" as time went on, so that became my position. I continued to learn the societal damage sexual sin causes, and that society embracing sexual sin further erodes our nation, and removes protections from heaven.

But a question still remained in my mind concerning agency in general. The prophets strongly supported Prohibition as outlined by the 18th Amendment, to the point of speaking in favor of it in General Conference for decades, and condemned us when Utah was largely responsible in passing it's repeal. They even cited statistics showing how Prohibition was not a failure, as Hollywood blockbusters would have us believe, but it was a success. One that frustrated Satan and enemies of morality.

The prophets continue to instruct Latter-day Saints to oppose legal recreational marijuana today, so I have had to wonder, as do many others in and out of the LDS Church:

"Doesn't God care about agency?"

I hear this question often. From non-Mormons I hear, "I have the right to do whatever I want as long as it doesn't infringe upon the rights of others." From some members I hear, "God given agency gives people the right to do whatever they want, even to sin."

They are partially correct, but at the same time totally misunderstanding agency and liberty.

Agency is the ability to choose right or wrong. It is something we fought for before we came to this earth. We did not fight for the right to sin without consequence, we fought for the right to choose to obey the commandments of our own free will. We understood that there would be consequences for our actions, and that justice required that good actions bring about good consequences, and evil actions bring about evil consequences.

To apply this principle to morality, we now have the right to obey the commandments without being punished by God or the government. The government cannot take away our right to obey the commandments without being immoral, for that would be good actions being rewarded with evil consequences, and those government officials and citizens that supported them will be held accountable before God.

The inverse is also true. If a moral people decide the government ought to reward evil actions with appropriate punishment, those performing immoral actions should not be surprised when justice is brought upon them.

On the contrary, this is the natural order of things, and for moral people to allow sinful behavior to go unpunished is not only unnatural, it is shirking our solemn responsibility to "warn our neighbor." Learning how to ensure a moral society is not only a duty for citizens of a free nation, and a moral obligation of those professing faith in Jesus Christ. It is also practice for children of God to fulfill our divine future role.

If you still have questions about this concept you will find a great article consisting primarily of the word of God and His prophets here.
